Mohammed Assaf is a Palestinian singer well known for being the winner of the second season of Arab Idol. Assaf was named a goodwill ambassador for peace by The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Assaf was acclaimed by the jury and the public. His victory received worldwide media coverage and was welcomed with joy by Palestinians and the rest of the Arab world. Since winning Arab Idol, Mohammed Assaf has been touring the world. On June 10th 2014, Assaf sang his World Cup single #ASSAF360 in front of the FIFA congress 64 in Sao Paulo Brazil to a global audience.
